Hello, I've been having trouble with my in camera light meter so I tried some light meter apps on my iphone, but I don't really like the ones I've found, so I wanted to know what apps are you guys using and that maybe you would recommend.
As the sun sets, Night Light gradually filters the blue light from your screen. Blue light is replaced with a warm amber light. Turn it on once, and Night Light will always adjust to the perfect setting.
Now, I was very skeptical at first. Hand held light meters by the likes of Minolta (find on eBay) and Sekonic (find on Amazon) are tried and true technology that have been used for decades. How well could my phone actually perform as a light meter?
Your hand held Minolta offers the ability to read incident light. The amount of light falling on the subject. It requires a translucent dome that picks up not only light shining down, but also what might be reflecting from the ground. This is the metering that cinema photographers use, for very good reasons.
Obviously, a measurement device should provide accurate measurements. Measuring light accurately is very hard to achieve, so a meter with an error of 20% can be considered as accurate enough for most applications. If you want to dig deeper into light meter accuracy, consider the ISO/CIE 19476 standard.
Since we're the creators of Photone our result could be potentially biased. But you don't need to take our word for granted and can try it yourself. You'll find our test methods including all the results further down below. The app can be downloaded and tested for free. (unlocking all light sources requires a small purchase)
To analyze the overall accuracy, we compared the average measurement errors relative to our reference for each app. In order to make sure that these results are reliable and repeatable across different devices, we took measurements on an iPhone 14, an iPhone 11 Pro, and an iPad Pro. The linearity can be analyzed when comparing the relative errors at different light intensities. The more the errors differ, the higher measurement deviates from linear behavior.
While light meter apps excel in measuring light intensity, they generally do not measure the color temperature of light sources. For this, you would need a color meter or a specialized app designed to measure color temperature.
The accuracy and functionality of light meter apps can vary. Free apps typically offer basic features and may be less accurate compared to paid ones, which often provide more comprehensive features and better precision. If you want to get as close as possible to a professional light meter, you may need to upgrade to a paid light meter app.
While often associated with photography, light meter apps can also be beneficial for videography. They can assist in determining the right exposure for a video shot, helping to ensure consistent lighting conditions across different shots and scenes.
E Ink Carta is the newest development of the E Ink Company. This is a display made on the "electronic paper" technology. Reading on such a screen is as comfortable as on ordinary paper. Compared to previous generations of ePaper, this screen has a lighter base and higher contrast.
The MOON Light 2 technology enables one to use the device in the dark or under poor lighting conditions. When this function is in use, soft luminescence of the screen comfortable for reading in dark rooms is being generated. It also has a color temperature control and, thanks to the use of Flicker-Free technology, the front-light system is perfectly smooth.
The latest researches have shown that blue light prevents the production of melatonin (daily rhythms regulator), which is necessary for a person to sleep. Therefore, after reading on a glowing screen of an ordinary tablet or smartphone, it is often difficult to fall asleep. MOON Light 2 allows you to adjust the brightness of cold and warm LED lights independently, choosing at will white light for reading during the daytime, and more yellow for reading before sleeping. The Flicker-Free technology completely eliminates shimmering of the LEDs used in this screen frontlight system. This is due to the use of a DC power supply. The Flicker-Free technology significantly reduces discomfort for sight and eye fatigue and decreases the chances of headache, caused by long use of the eReader.
Here are a few of the best lightmeter apps for iOS and Android devices to accompany your photography in the absence of a handheld lightmeter. Feel free to check out each and see which one works the best for you!
With its visual design charmingly resembling an old lightmeter, myLightMeter Pro is one of the top-rated lightmeter apps by film photographers for its ease of use and reliability, and has been around for a few years. It is created by photographer David Quiles and can be used for both digital and analogue photography.
Turn on the Stripe Reader M2 by pressing and releasing the power button. The status LEDs turn on for 2 seconds and the reader beeps twice. The reader waits for a Bluetooth connection for five minutes before turning off.
When the reader connects to a device running your app, the status LEDs on top of the reader flash four times. After connecting, the first status light begins flashing at five second intervals. The reader stays connected to your iOS or Android device while in standby mode and automatically exits standby mode when you resume activity.
Use a small object like a hair pin, pen cap or paper clip to firmly press and hold the button on Square Reader for 20 seconds or after the four lights stop blinking red. Do not let go of the power button until after the red lights have stopped flashing.
While Square Reader is charging, use your finger or a small object like a hair pin, pen cap, or paper clip to firmly press and hold the button on Square Reader for 20 seconds, or after the four lights stop blinking red. Do not let go of the power button until after the red lights have stopped flashing. Press the button again to turn Square Reader on, observe any lights on Square Reader.
Check that your Square Reader has adequate battery. Low battery may increase disconnections between your device and Square Reader. Press the button on your Square Reader once to see the battery level. If you see a blinking red light, that means your Square Reader battery is low and should be charged immediately. If your Square Reader is in a Dock for Square Reader, make sure your Square Reader is being charged.
Reset your Square Reader. Hold down the power button for approximately 20 seconds. The lights on your Square Reader will flash orange, then red, and then they will stop flashing. Do not let go of the power button until after the red lights have stopped flashing.

I even tried bypassing the style.xml file and adding @style/Theme.AppCompat.Light directly in to the AndroidManifest.xml for both and with android:theme="@style/ThemeAppCompat.Light" with all attempts resulting in the same error.
I will share my experience with this problem. I was going crazy because of this, but I found out that the problem was a bug with Eclipse itself, rather than my code:In eclipse, unable to reference an android library project in another android project
5.2. 2 pc. Library Dependencies. Add android-sdk\extras\android\support\v7\appcompat\libs\android-support-v4.jar and android-support-v4\android-support-v7-appcompat.jar
I am not sure whether v13 support library was available when this question was posted, but in case someone is still struggling, I have seen that adding android-support-v13.jar will fix everything. This is how I did it:
I had the same issue and even after importing/adding a jar/library as mentioned in the answers it would not solve the error. Out of frustration, I just created a new workspace and created a fresh android project and it automatically imported appcompat_v7 and there were no errors on clean and build. Didn't have to import a single jar/ library manually. Just FYI I am using eclipse Mars.1 Release (4.5.1) and was facing the exact same issue everytime I created a new android project.
Reader view on Firefox for Android may strip away images, ads, videos, and menus from some web pages, so you can focus on reading. Through the reader view, you can change the font type, increase or decrease the font size and change the background color. Reader view is only available for articles, blog posts and other web pages that can be simplified.
Reader makes it easy to annotate PDF documents. With Reader on your desktop, you can: annotate PDFs using sticky notes; type text directly onto the page; highlight, underline, or use strikethrough tools; and draw on the screen with the freehand drawing tool. The same commenting tools are also available in Acrobat Reader for mobile.
I like sending camera jpg images to my S6 Lite using cameras as WiFi hotspot. Otherwise I connect cameras to a PC with USB cable for raw files, videos. I have had card readers cause problems with the cards so I rarely take them out of the cameras. I have let to try what you are asking.
I use a Samsung tablet and an OTG cable with card reader to backup my camera files to a large micro sd in the tablet. I think your S^ should be able to manage between 500gb and 1TB , check on Samsung site.
The phone uses a unique electronic paper screen, a technology also found in popular e-readers. This does not emit any blue light like traditional backlit screens. It's visible in direct sunlight and limited to black and white, intentionally.
