One Nation Working Together in California

Dear Debra,

We know it's hot out today, but we bring you good weather news! It will be a perfect 82 degrees on Saturday: just warm enough to enjoy the sunshine but we're no longer in danger of melting.

With the state's LARGEST official One Nation day of activities fast approaching, more activities, guests and teams are coming together to make our demand for change louder and more exciting than ever! Please check our website for the most up-to-date information at http://onenationca.org

Location Change:

With only 5 days left before Demand Change Day at LACC and all the growing momentum, we have had to accomodate the additional crowd. A new location has been set-up just steps away from the LACC quad. Please meet us at the corner of New Hampshire and Melrose. We are excited to be at this new location as it will give us even greater visibility and room to grow (so tell your friends!).

Schedule of Activities:

9 AM to 11 AM: Massive Public Display & Mobilization, Performances & Program

11 AM-Noon: "Tools & Tactics" Coaching Followed by door-to-door team canvassing. Sign-up to do get out the vote work for final 30 days before Election Day

Public Transportation: Metro Local Line 26 or Metro Red Line to stop Vermont/Santa Monica Stop;

Parking: Lot 4, by Administration Building

RSVP or Volunteer: http://www.onenationca.org/sign-up/

See you soon,

"And as with so many movements, it was also something more: It was at this defining moment that these folks who had been marginalized rose up to challenge not just how the world saw them, but also how they saw themselves. As we've seen so many times in history, once that spirit takes hold there is little that can stand in its way. And the riots at Stonewall gave way to protests, and protests gave way to a movement, and the movement gave way to a transformation that continues to this day. It continues when a partner fights for her right to sit at the hospital bedside of a woman she loves. It continues when a teenager is called a name for being different and says, "So what if I am?" It continues in your work and in your activism, in your fight to freely live your lives to the fullest."
~President Barack H. Obama
