One Nation Working Together in California

Dear supporter,

There's just 2 days left until One Nation-California mobilizes Los Angeles. For more information go to http://onenationca.org

On October 2, 2010, thousands of people will be making history as part of the growing "One Nation-California" movement!

Mirroring the One Nation national march in Washington, D.C., One Nation-California is an event that will bring more than 200 diverse groups under a single tent, with a single message: It's time to pull America back together and back to work!).

The event will be followed by major new "get out the vote" efforts in California in advance of November's crucial elections.

Join us, starting 9 AM, at the corner of Melrose Ave. & New Hampshire in Los Angeles (see location/time details below).

We must all work together to ensure that every one has the opportunity to achieve the American Dream - a secure job, a safe home, and a quality education. But we can't do it without you. Please join us - and tell everyone you know who cares about reclaiming our country!

Where: Los Angeles City College (855 Vermont for tracking purposes), Driving Range Parking Lot at the corner of New Hampshire and Melrose. Park at Lot 5.

When: Rally begins 9 AM

How: To RSVP, simply click on: http://www.onenationca.org/sign-up/

See you all there!

Sura Hart

"And as with so many movements, it was also something more: It was at this defining moment that these folks who had been marginalized rose up to challenge not just how the world saw them, but also how they saw themselves. As we've seen so many times in history, once that spirit takes hold there is little that can stand in its way. And the riots at Stonewall gave way to protests, and protests gave way to a movement, and the movement gave way to a transformation that continues to this day. It continues when a partner fights for her right to sit at the hospital bedside of a woman she loves. It continues when a teenager is called a name for being different and says, "So what if I am?" It continues in your work and in your activism, in your fight to freely live your lives to the fullest."
~President Barack H. Obama
