I have met a problem with jorani when trying to install it (for evaluation purpose) on my mac. Despite many tries I didn't manage to make the database connection work and didn't get any feedback (log or anything else) that could lead me to understand what was wrong.
Benjamin Ballet gracefully suggested me to use the requirements.php page to give him more information about this issue. Thanks to that tip, I finally managed to make it work as I saw in this page the following error at the top :
Warning: mysqli::mysqli(): (HY000/2002): No such file or directory in /XXX/YYYY/ZZZZ/jorani/requirements.php on line 41
I only had to change localhost in my configuration by 127.0.0.1 (loopback IP).
I have not spent anymore time to understand why, and I must admit that I am surprised to see that using 127.0.0.1 is not equivalent to localhost (and even more surprised by the error that it raises), but I think that people developping jorani should be aware of this.
