Hi,

we're trying to implement Jorani as leave management system for our company. For the moment we're testing it in IT department. It looks like a good tool, but there are some issues that are a kind of blockers. Main two are:

1) It is required to enter overtime duration in days or fraction of days instead of hours. That's really complicated for an average user. Is there any way to enter values in hours?

2) Even when one enters such a value in fraction of days, then Jorani rounds it to two decimal places. One enters: 0.125, but Jorani rounds it to 0.13. That creates some computation inaccuracy, some minutes are lost, some are added.
Is it possible to turn off this rounding?

Best regards :)
Jakub

Hi,

The software has been designed to work with the day as unit of measure. I'd need to change everything to use hours and it is not what I intend to do with the software.

If some minutes are added and some lost, maybe that you are even after a while :)

It is not possible to turn off this rounding except if you alter the source code. Maybe that you could deal with overtime outside Jorani and add compensation once the OT request is manually validated. This is what some other users do, because their workflow of approval is more complicated or for some other reasons.

Thanks for prompt answer :)
What if we'd try to make some changes in source code (and make them configurable)? Would it be included in future Jorani realeses?

I accept pull request on github.

I don't want to discourage you, but changing the unit of measure from day to hour is not trivial.

Thx. What about removing rounding?
