you have not enter root password in database config file,

I have tried with the password and blank after I changed it,

could it be something blocking the connection?

or another app blocking the port?

It is a synology NAS station.

My Database server is 

MariaDB 10 (Localhost via UNIX socket)

maybe needs some different configuration?

Issue is fixed, it was a username problem.
