Secondly, please welcome Ryan Breidenbach as the maintainer of JOpt Simple going forward. I have found myself with less and less time to devote to the care and feeding of JOpt Simple recently. I've known Ryan for many years, and admire his work and trust his judgement with respect to code. The project is in good hands, I assure you.

I started JOpt Simple back in 2003 on SourceForge (!) with the modest goal of providing a library (not a framework) for parsing command line switches that is inviting, easy to digest, test-driven, and small in published API surface area. I'm pleased that so many people since that time have found it useful and cared enough to offer encouragement and even make contributions to the project.

I look forward to seeing JOpt Simple evolve, as it has in the last 10+ years, even further than I could have imagined under Ryan's stewardship.
