Problem installing JOpenDocument Addon with OpenOffice 3.2 on Mac OSX 10.5.8

I'm having a problem installing the JOpenDocument Addon with
OpenOffice 3.2 on Mac OSX 10.5.8. I get the following error from the
OpenOffice Extension Manager:

"Could not create java implementation loader"

Here are the steps to create the error:

1) Install OpenOffice 3.2 on Mac OSX 10.5.8
2) Download v1.1 of JOpenDocument Addon from jopendocument.org
3) Double click on JOpenDocumentAddOn.oxt
4) Receive the error message

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
