Recording source locations in semantic artifacts

Hi Lukas,

Is there any way to recover a source text location from a ForeignKey or UniqueKey java object? This would help us generate more specific error messages in our static analysis application. I have the same question for Fields and Tables.

Hi Ryan,

You mean, as in where a generated instance of type X/Y is located in generated source code? You could instrument jOOQ code and attach such information somewhere, or you could patch the code generator to generate some annotations containing this information.

It doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard or done, or which would pull its weight... Why would you need it, specifically?
