I posted a note about OSE Membership, but I'm broadening this search out... I'm looking for a replacement for CiviCRM (specifically CiviMember) for a searchable member database. We've been having continuing problems with Civi under Joomla 1.5 and I hear it's got problems with 2.5 as well... What are folks using for a searchable member database?

Thanks,

Lynn

Hey now Folks

I’m using Community Builder http://www.joomlapolis.com/ ;  it was a bear (for me) to set up with my secure login and mobile, but it’s searchable and SQL statements are relatively easy as well. There’s also a subscription add-on.

I also use SobiPro http://www.sigsiu.net/sobipro.html  for a separate set of “companies”.  I don’t like the subscription feature for leasing the software so much and you have to use their tool to sort of extract the information you want rather than using SQL statements.  The program seems still to be in early development. But that part of the database is searchable as well, you can easily set up sub categories and css is a little more accessible than CB.

Happy Holidays!

I'm familiar with SobiPro, but down the line, they would like members to be able to renew their membership online, so I don't think Sobi will be robust enough. But I'll look into Community Builder...
