Subject: Seeking short Joomla "Best Practices, Tips, Lessons Learned" quotes for feature article for ITWorld
To: Jen Kramer <j...@4webinc.com>

I'm a freelance writer, and am looking to talk to, or get email from, Joomla developers/users for a feature article, "Joomla!: Best Practices, Tips, Lessons Learned" for ITWorld (www.ITWorld.com), one of IDG's sites. Here's links to my ITWorld articles to date:

 <http://www.dern.com/artic.shtml#ITWorld>

This article will consist of a series of Best Practices, Lessons Learned,
Tips, etc., mostly from Joomla developers (which can include book authors) -- ideally from a mix of SMB, enterprise, gov, non-profit, edu,
third-party developer, although I'm also open to contributions from a
vendor, web analyst, etc. or two.

I've had a great chat with Mitch Pirtle (which I hope to place somewhere
as an interview article), but want input from other Joomla developers, etc.

I'll probably be doing the article as a series of topic'd paragraphs, sections and/or bullets, like I did in these articles:

http://www.itworld.com/windows/114957/8-things-are-bound-happen-during-a-window
s-7-migration

http://itexpertvoice.com/home/it-lessons-learned-from-past-os-migrations/

E.g., What they're using Joomla for, or considering it for, e.g., site
type/size, nature of problem/goal, etc.; tip, advice, etc.

I need to talk to/get email from any sources by Wednesday, August 11, 2010.

Given the nature of the article, people who would like to be sources
can simply email me, being sure to include:

o name and title (and, if they have or don't need permission, company name
and URL)

o What they're using Joomla for, or considering it for, e.g., site type/size, nature of problem/goal, etc.

o Tip, advice, etc.

Or we can chat by phone (shouldn't take more than 10 minutes per call).

I'll be confirming what I'd want to run by email.

I'm a free-lance technology and business writer, providing bylined
articles and columns, as well as PR writing, editorial and consulting
services, especially case histories, interviews, FAQs, OpEds, releases
and feature articles.

I cover everything from consumer, professional and SO/HO products
and topics through SMB, enterprise, verticals, government,
educational and non-profits.

Thanks for your help!

Sincerely,

Daniel P. Dern
