can't save in 3.4

I'm sure I've had this problem before and was able to solve it.

today it won't get solved.

Upgraded to 3.4 and save and close buttons not working in modules and articles.

I have cleared the joomla cache and the browser cache.

I have hit the database Fix button.

I checked cpanel to make sure there were no files in the cache folder.

Still no go. I'm afraid it's an extension conflict, and not sure how to find those.

Copious searching online has been unhelpful.

Unpublish all the extensions.

If that fixes the problem, then turn them on one at a time to see what breaks it.

So the problem is the JCE Editor... odd I didn't have that problem with previous upgrades.

I guess I should have switched the editor right off the bat, but this isn't my first 3.4 upgrade. Weird
