I am attempting to run box php:list or even box php:use to use PHP 7.2.x, and getting an error that there are unmet dependencies. When attempting to manually install them, for example libapr1-dev, I get the unmet dependencies again stating "Depends: libapr1 (= 1.5.0-1) but 1.6.2.1+ubuntu14.04.1+deb.sury.org+2 is to be installed.

The version installed from Joomlatools Dev is different than that. Any suggestions?

Hi Steve,

Unfortunately, the PHP repository that is used to install PHP binaries from is no longer supporting this Ubuntu version. That's why this is failing. This will be fixed in the upcoming 1.6 release.

Best,
Steven
