The "forgot your password" , "forgot your user name" , and "register
" forms are not working on my installation of Joomla 1.520. The send
mail path is correct according the the host. I have been at this for
ours , and I am beyond my wits. Does anybody have any ideas on this
one?

Joseph,

do you have another 1.5.19 install on the same server where it works ? It can be a number of different things, but I would start by confirming it working on an older version.

I solved my problem. As you know, Joomla provides three ways to send
an email: php function, sendmail, and SMTP. After working with the
host support of my client, SMTP ending up being the solution. Life is
good!
