Hi all,

I have a Joomla site that I am looking to move over to an IIS7 server
from Linux. I am running into some problems with the settings on the
server and hoping that someone might have an idea on this.

I have the IUSR and IIS_IUSRS set up to have full control of the site,
and so, Joomla is working and behaving. However, when I upload a new
file, I am able to upload it, and it will remain on the server, but
the IUSR will be the owner of it, but there will be no settings set on
it. All the settings are blank. The IIS_IUSRS have the inheritted
permissions from the folder, as do the other users. The thing is,
because the owner does not have permissions, no one is able to view
the file.

Any thoughts on configuring this to so that the files will get the
proper permissions to the owner? I am ok with hacking /libraries/
joomla/file to set the permissions, I just need to find out where
things may be going awry.

I have checked the Joomla Forum, and they are all referencing problems
installing Joomla on IIS. also, MS is showing how to manually install
on IIS.

Thanks

Robert

Robert,

Why would you want to do such a thing?  Joomla! is native to LAMP why mess it up?

Solution found.

I went into IIS Manager and clicked on Authentication under the IIS
settings
From there, I clicked on the Anonymous user to edit it.
Next, I switched it from the IUSR account to the Application Pool for
the permissions.
