Visitor Counter not working

Paul,

The reason your visitor counter stopped working could be a lot of
different things, but a problem is always for a reason. I would think
about what was the last change before the issue arose - perhaps an
upgrade of Joomla, or of another component, or installation of a new
component that may be causing a conflict. Even an upgrade on his
server, such as a newer version of SQL can create problems. (Response

You might need to find a different visitor counter, uninstall the old
one and install the new one. Many sites are going without visitor
counters these days. They are nice if you are getting a lot of
traffic, not so nice if your traffic count is low.

It seems to me whether traffic is light or heavy it is good to see if
your site is being used or not.

I literally have made no changes to the configuration in months,
simply new content and articles.

I guess it could be something on the hosted infrastructure.

I did uninstall and reinstall the counters latest version.
