Hello friends
We have Kalam Sikder as a new member in our group. I would like to welcome him on behalf of all members.
The good thing is he has already finished translating Joomla 1.5. So, it is now just time for some checking.
Kamal vai might have a look at this http://groups.google.com/group/joomla_bengali/topics?hl=bn to be aware of what we talked about in the past.
I hope Joomla 1.5 will have a good Bangla translation now. But I must remind you that it is lot more that just translation.
In the meantime, I will resign from most of the things related to Joomla. I would request all of you to nominate one of the members as leader/coordinator or whatever you may call. Once that is done I will:
1. transfer the ownership (this is what google calls) of this group.
2. transfer the ownership of the domain joomla-bd.org (I am not sure the .bd domain can be transferred. It will expire in few months. The new coordinator might want to renew it.)
3. delegate my membership to Joomla forum to the chosen. (If the forum id can be changed, we will change, otherwise I will just take off my email from there.)
4. transfer the access to to the joomla common translation forge. This would allow submitting the translation for official installation pack.
5. delegate the account on joomlacode.org to the chosen person.
All the works I did for joomla, and the money I spent on it are voluntary. Domains, hosting, template all were paid by my own money. There is about $50 in an adsense account that I setup sometime back. I will handover this to the new person, once it reaches $100 (google wont allow withdraw otherwise). The site is currently hosted on a reseller account bought by me for apona-bd.com. Joomla-bd can stay there as long as I am able to pay the reseller account. The domain joomla-bd.org has just been renewed the other day. So it is valid for whole next year.
Working for Joomla does not give anything other than pleasure. The new person will have to spend his own money for few things, and answer a good number of emails from people asking for help.
If there is anything else, I will add up. I am expecting you all can choose someone in a week time.

This is very sad thing for us. We don't want to loose you. You can still be our coordinator. We can help you to do this. Please keep your role as a coordinator and Please give us opportunity to work with you.
