Production Leadership Team Meeting Minutes 17 April 2012

Present: Mark, Christophe, Andy, Chris, Sam

1. Discussed expectations and goals for version 3.0 in September.

1. We would like to use Platform version 12.2, due out in July 2012.

2. Potentially a new admin template with improved user interface.

1. Question whether or not to continue to include existing admin templates.

2. Any new admin template should be compatible with non-English languages (for example, right-to-left, specific plural names, long labels)

3. Any new admin template should be compatible with accessibility guidelines

3. Would like to ensure that existing 2.5 extensions can run on 3.0 with little or no modifications (other than admin templates).

4. Remove any use of deprecated methods and classes.

5. UCM classes would be available for third-party extensions to use for new development.

6. Core components will probably not use the new UCM platform classes but will continue to use existing classes and tables.

1. Goal will be to use UCM for core components for version 4.0.

2. More detailed information about the goals and specific architecture for 4.0 will be published later in the year.

2. What is being developed (UX and other working groups)

1. How to give feedback to UX group?

1. Andy and Ron will communicate with the group to make sure we are clear on expectations.

3. Proposed new Production Working Groups: need PLT liaison

1. Update & Migration: Mark or possibly Sam will be liaison

2. Web Services: ??

3. UCM: ??

4. Unit Tests for the CMS: ??

5. Multi-Site: Christophe will coordinate & liaison

6. Search: Chris will coordinate
