Hi Everyone,

I just did a sanity check on the amount of required mentors (15)
versus those who have been active lately and I noticed we might have a
problem. When I am posssitively minded we would have 13 mentors for 15
projects, but the actual amount of real active and available mentors
probably is close to 10.

This open up the debate to see how we handle this, two options:
1. We (as the SoC team) get new mentors in asap, and guide them into
SoC.
2. Lower the amount of projects we want.

Some feedback is welcome.

Wilco

If we need help finding new mentors, say the word and we'll start
searching the world.

I hope we "go for it" this summer, provided there are enough good
projects.

I will just ask 3-4 people to join in, to be on the safe side. Hope the can start fast so they can still help out on the ranking.

But if all here will help me (please), I will orient myself as quickly
as possible.

Can someone give me a clue about the Skype Channel. I'm not on Skype a

Not sure how to interpret "I really don't (I MEAN REALLY DON'T HAVE
TIME FOR THIS !!!) "....

But anyway. It looks like we will be close to 15 active mentors...we
might come one or two short. I suggest we first finish the ranking,
and see if Google grants us the 15 slots. If this is the case, and we
come short we will look for additional mentors.

Agree. We'll finish the ranking. See what interest everyone has in
mentoring specific projects. Then, if we need more mentors, we can
recruit for specific projects. In my opinion, we shouldn't have any
problems getting 15 projects properly supported.

I am *so* encouraged by the top applications and by our mentor
participation. While it is true that no one (that I know of) has spare
time, I hope all who are contributing have a sense of how valuable our
collective efforts will be for the Joomla! community. I appreciate
everyone's efforts - it's been a big job.
