Hi All,

I read on the GSoC announcement list that all the students will be
receiving a Start of Coding Surprise! Although it's a secret, I read
something about a "book". Am very excited indeed; can't wait to
receive my copy and see what it's about!!

So far the GSoC Joomla! experience has been great! I met so many cool
people and am chatting to them on Google Talk and Skype; the community
and socialising parts are indeed just as great (or maybe even better)
than the coding part!

A quick note for all our mentors that were involved in the Joomla!
Summit - I followed the developments on the dev blog and am inspired
by all the great work you are doing! Looking forward to hearing about
some more fantastic Joomla! developments, and aspiring to even being
part of them! ;)

Thanks & Regards,
Charl

Interesting you have this information Charl...I have seen the book,
and it is a great one, you will love it.

Also love to see you are getting into the Joomla! spirit, looking
forward to see your work in SoC.

It's actually funny that they mentioned "book" in the announcement
e-mail - it's almost a bit of a spoiler but it'll still be a lot of
fun to find out what it's about! :)

The book inspired me, and gave me a lot of knowledge what open-source is all about. You will like it!

You're not supposed to tell us too much about it before we actually
receive the book :D

I am very curious
this is just my guess
the book title is the google story

aaaahhh, just wait until it come
I hope this cheer me up than pure chocolate in my desk
I have been crying hard enough

Yesterday night, my Chinese teacher showed us world map. She gave material how to mention countries name in Chinese. She pointed one by one country randomly and inform how to say it in Chinese.

"Mei guo" --> "USA" ... Wow it is Louis Landry place
"Nan Fei" --> "South of Africa" ... Charl is there
"Bi li shi" ---> "Belgium" ... Johan and Niels ....
"Bo Lan" ---> "Poland" .... My mentor :D
"Xin Jia Po"  Jay Soe ........ Jay Soe

Then I imagine
Oooo, What a wonderful summer !!
I will work together with international people
Moreover I learn open source directly from exceptional people
