Hi All,

I finally got round to updating the Developer Documentation Workflow
document: http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1571/106/

I know this is on the old help site but I don't think it would be right
to have it clutter up the wiki. It can easily be moved at a later date.

The overall workflow pattern is unchanged, so each page goes through an
internal review before a one-month public review, then "publication". Of
course, with the wiki everything is publicly visible even during initial
production and internal review so I've added a standard header
block/table to each page so that visitors might better judge the likely
quality of what they are seeing. I've done this in preference to
amending page titles as I think it increases the visibility of this
information.

Can everyone on the API/DB Mini-team please ensure they read this
document afresh as I'd like everyone to follow it from now on. Any
questions let me know.

All of the filesystem classes are now complete and I have just made a
public announcement in the Dev Doc Forum to this effect. A big thank
you to Ian who did most of the work on these pages. Please use these
pages as your "prototypes" when producing new pages from now on.

We have a couple of new members on the API/DB Mini-team: Louis (hutmark)
and Sean Kelly (skelly). Guys, if you need any help in getting started
then please shout up. The first step is always the most difficult!

Can someone with delete access to the wiki please delete the following
pages (no longer required):
http://dev.joomla.org/index.php?option=com_jd-wiki&Itemid=31&id=reference
s:joomla.framework:example
http://dev.joomla.org/index.php?option=com_jd-wiki&Itemid=31&id=reference
s:developer.documentation.workflow

Keep up the good work everyone.

Regards,
Chris.

Hi Chris,

you are also able to delete, you need only the edit the page delete all
contents and than save the empty page this will delete the page.

I guess next week i need some help, currently i'm preparing a workshop
for this weekend about patTemplate and Joomla 1.5 ( that's why i'm
currently a little absensend ) and will use this as pattern for a big
part on the wiki about the use of pattemplate in J! 1.5 we have not
enough docs about this so the workshop is a welcome alibi and motivation
:D for me to write all this things the last days.

Hi there,

Just a heads up about Sean, his computer died a day or two ago, he will
be back on deck in a bit.

Cheers
Shayne

Ahhh! The light dawns! I was looking for a delete button. Thanks
Marko.

Must be catching. I lost my laptop (failed motherboard) a couple of
weeks ago and although I didn't lose any data (I was keeping it backed
up regularly) still it took ages to cannibalise bits to put together
another machine that I could use for Joomla work. Rather than use a
laptop I now carry all my regular work on one of those USB pen drives.
I'm a convert, I think they're great! And a lot easier to carry.

@Sean, will talk as soon as you are back "on deck". Steady as she goes,
boys!
