FIG (the PHP Framework Interoperability Group) is doing another straw poll on what the focus should be regarding the preparation of standard (PSR) interfaces.

Should FIG "standardize what is" or "develop future-looking patterns"?

I think this is quite an important question as we are looking forward to the Framework being a credible offering to the wider PHP community. Vote as you feel led to vote.
