joomla 1.7 language switcher

I have developed my component and created two language files for that
component. I have installed english and other language pack in joomla
installation using this tutorial http://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/multi-language-sites-in-joomla-17/.
My problem is that Language switcher modules shows pre and post text
but does show links (flags) for switching the language. I have checked
that language system plugin and menu association is enabled. I donot
know why it is not showing flags or links to switch the language.
