Server with php5-fpm, nginx, postfix gives error on sendmail

I am facing one awkward error on a contact us page. If i select sendmail on the configuration of the site I get an error: Could not execute: /usr/sbin/sendmail

The nginx run as www-data.

If i use phpmail all work fine but then the mail goes to junk, with terminal and using sendmail the mail is ok! (DNS, SPF records are ok)

Is there an option in php that needs to be set?

Some help is really appreciated

PS. There is also an instance of Apc

Why you need by force to use sendmail ? it's an hard thing to check

You should check sendmail logs and queue to check which may be the error

There is one notification from csf
