What is best practice for inserting the link for custom fields in third pary extensions

Hello,
If I want to integrate custom fields into my Joomla 4 extension, then I have to change the database so that a link appears in the administrator menu, right?
Actually, I don't really enjoy changing joomla database tables. Having your own sidebar isn't nice in joomla 4 either.

So far I've been using a sidebar like in joomla 3.
Actually, I don't really enjoy changing joomla database tables. Having your own sidebar isn't nice in joomla 4 either.
