UNSUBSCRIBE ME!!!

I joined this group using a non-google email at the Joomla website.

Now when I try to unsubscribe, it takes me to my Google groups page under another address, where I am not shown as a subscriber.

Every time I click on any option to unsubscribe, I get routed back to the same page, where I can only join. Again.

Please remove ma...@michaelcowie.ca from this group.

Please also tell Joomla that if they want to use Google groups for mailing lists, they should bloody-well specify that you need a gmail account to have any control over your subscription.

Yes. Repeatedly. As I explained, subscribing with a non-google email appears to rob one of the option of unsubscribing, because unsubscribing requires clicking on a link in an email.

The link takes me to google groups, which I have a password to under a different email. When I see the groups under that account, this one is not there.

At no point did I ever get a username or password prompt to join using the email I subscribed to this group with.

Instead of telling me to do what I have tried doing several times, please just remove me (and the other person who is complaining) from the group. Now, please.

You need to logout of your google acccount and login on the account associated with the email address you subscribed with. Alternatively, the unsubscribe message must come from the correct email.
