are very often returned to me as "Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender" and in the body it says:
host outbound.mailspamprotection.com [108.178.13.114]
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
550 This message has been reported as spam by other users.
The error details are:
Action: failed
Final-Recipient: rfc822;xxxx
Status: 5.0.0
Remote-MTA: dns; outbound.mailspamprotection.com
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 High probability of spam
Now I noticed that the host is always outbound.mailspamprotection.com with a myriad of IP addresses.
Here I wonder, is there something we as Joomla can do about the content of those messages so they are no longer flagged as spam messages? Is this something a hosting provider should be able to do something about? Is there nothing we can do about this?
Just wondering what others are experiencing, know about this :)
Regards,
Roland
The outbound server is correctly displayed, since all outgoing emails go through our SpamFiltering setup. The Filtering system detects that most users receiving the default Joomla emails report them as unsolicited emails, so it directly bounces them back in order to prevent your domain name or the server IP, etc, from being blacklisted which in turn will prevent your from sending normal emails.
My personal recommendations would be to simply modify the text in the messages so that they are properly allowed to pass by the spam filters that are in place.
