By making a php file containing the phpinfo function and running it with the browser i can get info about the php installation of my server.

Is the info mentioned above(by running the php info function) same with the info found in the system info>php information of the admin backend joomla?

Yes, the Joomla! PHP information is a sub-set of the phpinfo information

So, the joomla PHP info does not contain all the info regarding the PHP installation?

Did i understand it correctly?

No, it'll display INFO_GENERAL, INFO_CONFIGURATION and INFO_MODULES -
which is what the line my previous email stated.

As per http://au.php.net/phpinfo that means it doesn't display
INFO_CREDITS, INFO_ENVIRONMENT, INFO_VARIABLES, INFO_LICENSE.
