FW: Custom Plugin Parameters

Ok, I'm rather perplexed.

Is this the right newsgroup to ask for help? I thought it was the
developers newsgroup, for those developing extensions for Joomla. If I am
asking in the wrong place, or I am asking for information that already
exists somewhere, then I would greatly appreciate someone enlightening me.

Or if there is a reason that my emails are simply disappearing into a void
without reply, I'd quite appreciate knowing that too...

Having been going through the source code, I presume that plugin parameters
are all now JForm objects. I have created a JForm element that does what I
need, but could do with some pointers how to incorporate my own custom
element in the plugin.

Any suggestions?
