Insert a google map on contact page

Hi,

I'd like to put a google map on the contact page i'm designing with
the google maps plugin.

I've to put this snippet somewhere : {mosmap}.

But inside the template file it's not interpreted (it displays
textually "{mozmap}") nor on informations input of the contact
component,

Do someone how to set it up?

Is the plugin you are using designed for contacts? Content plugins do not run in com_contact.

No, it's a content plugin as you say. Do you know a contact plugin for
google map?

Another option that doesnt modify the core is to use an alternative contacts extension. aicontactsafe is an alternative that does allow for the use of plugins

I know it is not as extensible, but you could use a template override to put the code you want in if you are just using it for the one site.

It would allow you to write all the code you want to call the plugin without disrupting the core joomla.
