As you might have seen, we've switched the feed handling in the CMS from simple pie to the native JFeed which is in the CMS libraries.

This is good for a number of reasons besides getting rid of a lot of strict errors. As you can see there is the possibility of coping with feed name spacing. Louis started some work on that here

Anything in that direction would be a feature so it was never intended to be part of the refactoring merge, but could be a feature merge. If it is something you are interested in working on I think it would be great. Ultimately this package should go back to the platform but in the meantime that work in particular would I think help that process along not to mention make the CMS feed handling more flexible.

I did promise Michael I'd write some tests too and any help there as always would be great.
