Remove "Automatic title" option from Administrator Modules?

Some Administrator Modules have an "Advanced" option called "Automatic title":

and some Admin Modules don't have that option:

Multilingual Status

According to https://docs.joomla.org/Help25:Extensions_Module_Manager_Admin_Latest it used for:
"Automatic Title. (Yes/No) Choose if you want a automatic (translated) title to be displayed. Note this depends on the admin template chosen."
Apparently feature has been added to Joomla in 2010
and removed in 2012:

Joomla's default administrator template Isis does not use the setting.
Joomla's other admin template, Hathor, includes this option via a template override: /administrator/templates/hathor/html/com_cpanel/cpanel/default.php
Joomla's system template also uses this option via a template override: /administrator/templates/system/html/modules.php
Because of this i don't think that "Automatic title" is used a lot.
What's the best option?
1. Remove the "Automatic title" option from the "Advanced" options of the Admin Modules?
2. Add the the "Automatic title" option to Joomla's cpanel so that all templates will automatically use it?
And add the "Automatic title" option to the "Advanced" options of all Admin Modules?

I actually have never noticed this one in my 9 years of support and
reading the feature and the removal on Github I still do not know
what this "automatic title (depending on template) " is suppose to
do. I simply do not get it's purpose and despite being able to read
about it I still do not get it.
So very careful to advise but since this seems to be worthless and removed already in an earlier stage from Github (so why is it still present in such case?....never merged?) let's just get rid off it? (unless someone can give me a good reason why the thing is present despite being removed as posted and found by Hannes?)

The feature was added in 2010 and removed in 2012 again, most likely by
accident. This feature allows you to define a title for the module in
the module and override the title given in the module manager. The
usecase is, that you have the module "Logged in Users" for example and
now you have a fixed title, which you can translate and based on the
language of the user, you get to see "Logged in Users" for english or
"Eingeloggte Nutzer" for german.
It was most likely removed by accident while the backend was rewritten
to Bootstrap code. The commit where this was removed has more than 300
files and several thousand changed lines of code. The feature was part
of a view file that was overwritten, but the option was not removed from
the XML files of the modules.
Long story, short: I don't think that this is a crucial feature and in
compliance with my earlier rants of everything in Joomla having too many
options, I would remove this entirely.

Thank Hannes for clarifying......I see what you say but therefor it
makes even less reason to keep it. Any language translations are done
through the current (horrendous imho) language system so for that
purpose for sure we do not need the feature so I do completely agree
with your assessment (ain't that something? :) ) to completely remove it.
