Test Engineer Responsibilities and Requirements (EMS) – India
Requirements
Education
•          Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
 
Experience
•          2+ years of experience designing test procedures and test cases, performing telecommunications network acceptance testing, and data transcription.
•          2 to 4 years of experience integrating, System Testing and O&M with EMS systems in the Wireless domain like GSM, UMTS, CDMA or LTE.
•          2 to 4 years of expert understanding on Linux and RTOS.
•          Three to Four Years of experience with wireless data communications (GPRS/ EDGE/ EVDO/ UMTS), high speed wireless LAN and Internet protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, SCTP, GTP, HTTP, SOAP). Experience may be gained concurrently.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•          Expertise in all RF Instruments like ESG, Power Meter, Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzers, Drive Tester, UE Simulator, RAN Simulator, Protocol Analyzers etc.
•          Good exposure of programming in C or VC++.
•          Good knowledge and exposure to SON architecture is a plus.
•          Good knowledge in the field of TR69 architecture, different elements of EMS like Registration Server, Configuration Server, AAA, DHCP, DNS Servers and Aggregation Gateways is a plus.
•          Good knowledge of Data Base Management is a plus.
