We are looking Senior Software Engineers for the following position

Senior Software Engineer-I – LTE – C or C++, Wireless Background (GSM or CDMA or LTE or WiFi or WiMax)


Education

B.E. in Electronics or Computer Science or equivalent related experience.

Master’s preferred.

Experience on Wireless domain Mandatory.

 

Experience

5 or more years of relevant experience. 


With 1 to 3 Years of Experience, will be considered as Associate Software Engineer.
 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Technical responsibility for Wireless software subsystem.
  • Develops, writes and tests application software.  Specifies top level systems and network architecture.  Communicates and supervises transition of these designs to the Manufacturing group and customers.
  • Performs integration design tasks of software into target systems.
  • Develops and implements design and quality assurance verification test plans at application and integration test levels. Generates detailed test reports including presentation of all data, introductions, conclusions and recommendations to a professional engineering standard.
  • Develops design documentation in accordance with requirements of the EDP to a professional engineering standard.
  • Maintains comprehensive Engineering notebooks documenting all general technical activities.  Provides direct line manager with weekly activity summary (activities accomplishments and issues) and records on PW time, and weekly hours per project.
  • Provides technical support to the application support group for failure analysis, root cause and corrective action assessment, technical training and integration efforts.
  • Maintain knowledge of current technical advancements in the general field of applications development commensurate with the Senior I Software Engineering level by keeping up with current developments and trends in area of expertise.
  • Manages small technical project teams with primary responsibility for technical performance, cost and schedules, interfacing with customers, inside departments and outside vendors as needed.
  • Mentors junior engineers.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•        Prior experience in OAM  software development for Femto or pico Cells

•        Experience on one or more wireless technologies - LTE,/WiMax/  WiFi.

•        Advanced knowledge of programming languages including C/C++ and Object Oriented programming techniques in a Linux environment

•        Strong written and verbal communication skills

•        Ability to work under pressure and meet the deadlines.

•        Experience with Networking protocols such as SNMP, TR-069, TCP/IP

 

DESIRABLE

•        Familiarity with Software Design using Formal methods (UML, SDL)

•        Experience with ThreadX/CMX/VxWorks  or other RTOS
