to Jones Falls Trail
All- I want to thank everyone who volunteered to participate in the
Jones Falls Trail Planning Committee. One of the wonderful aspects of
Mount Washington is the wealth of talented, committed neighbors who
are willing to step forward to support community projects.

My goal in choosing members for this committee is to identify
individuals who have specific skills and experience which will enable
them to work with the City at a detailed, technical level to insure
that we develop the best possible trail possible and satisfy, as much
as practicle, the needs of the Community, the MW Pediatric Hospital
and the City. I am encouraging Committee Chair, David Conn to invite
other community members to meetings when appropriate, to seek
additional community input often, and to provide updates to the
community at large regularly.

This is a working committee which will be asked to deal with the the
various city departments at a detailed, technical level. I believe
that the core committee outlined below is a true blue ribbon group
which has distitnct skills and qualifications to do this work while
being small enough to be efficient.

Chair- David Conn- David has been the MWIA point person on the JTF
trail project for two years and is also our primary liason with the
Pediatric Hospital. David is a lobbyist who can help manage the
political process and our interaction with the City.

Jane Baldwin- Jane is the former President of the Cylburn Arboretum,
a noted horticulturalist and has extensive experience working with the
Department of Parks and Planning.
Julie Gabrielli- Julie is an architect who specializes in use of
"green" materials and construction techniques.
Lynn Strott- Lynn is President of the MW Preservation Trust and an
attorney who can work on easements and trusts.
Jeanette Ezzo- Jeanette did a great deal of research during the
initial discussions of the trail and has demonstrated a willingness to
bring limitless energy to this project.
Myles Norin - Myles property on South Road adjoins the largest section
of the trail outside of the Pediatric Hospital.
Denise Duval- Denise has a background in city planning and has
worked in the City Planning department.
Mike Sherlock - Mike is a master gardner and "father" of the MW
Arboretum and the many flower beds around our neighborhood. He has
agreed to serve in an advisory capacity.
Robert Imhoff- Robert is V.P of the MW Pediatric Hospital and has
agreed to work with our committee to represent the concerns of both
the community and the Hosptal.

My sincere thanks to these individuals for volunteering to take on
this task. I'm sure they will do their utmost to insure that the
Mount Washington leg of the JFT is a boon to our neighborhood.

Sincerely;
Mac Nachlas
President, MWIA
