According to one of our neighbors, there was an incident last night around 10:00pm involving two people arguing heatedly and loudly outside near the intersection of Freret and Joilet. The neighbor called 911 to report the incident and was told by the 911 operator that he was in Jefferson parish and so was transferred to the Jefferson parish 911 before he had a chance to explain. The Jefferson parish 911 operator of course told him that he was in Orleans parish and transferred him back. The police never received the information and so there was no response to the incident.

 

Unfortunately, he did not have Major Glasser's cell phone number at the time. 911 clearly is not working well, if at all.
