I reinstalled Windows and i got everything up and running but my machine requires RealTek Audio Drivers. Well i go to their website and for the first 2 times i got error when i tried to download the drivers. After the 2 times it did start the download but the speeds were really really reeaaallly slow.
realtek download slow
Some reason whenever I download something from the realtek website it goes to a slow download speed like 10kbp/s. I have 100mbp/s and it downloads slow. I was wondering if there was a way to speed up the download speed or get it from another SAFE website. Any help appreciated.
My WiFi adapter was quite slow, I researched the issue, made a few tweaks and found a substantial increase in WiFi transmission speed by tweaking a few adapter settings. Below I'll show you how and what settings I changed.
Hi All,
I recently bought the HP G4 Micro Tower posted over in the deals section (HP ProDesk 400 G4 Micro Tower - 7th Gen Pentium G4560 2C/4T, 8GB DDR4 - $119.00 (seller accepts $90 offers)) for a dedicated plex server. I loaded Ubuntu Server 20.04 on it, and immediately noticed an issue. My download speed was being throttled to a very slow rate maxing out around 30 mbps on a gigabit line. Upload was correct at 40 mbps.
I found this problem while troubleshooting the installation and as it is not related with that, I am opening a more specific issue. I cannot get my internet driver to work properly and journalctl is overcrowded with errors relating to it to the point that it is using 8% of my cpu, on average. To start, I can use the internet, however only at very slow speeds (max at 1mb/s), while my wifi is much better. I know the issue is with it, because journalctl is complaining specifically about its port.
unfortunately i believe the problem is with the realtek controller. i connected an external usb wireless dongle into my laptop and the speed instantly matched up with the ethernet cable. i've searched the internet but have not found any fix. next time i won't buy anything with realtek on it!
I don't know why but in Q4OS speed is really slow, because i guess driver on Realtek chipset isn't installed. But in tests Steam have maximum 3 MB/s when actualy 8 MB/s need. Downloading from Konsole is 200 KB/s!!!
I'm having an issue with Intel Killer ethernet E3100G 2.5Gbps
Issue is the ethernet is very slow compared to my generic Realtek 2.5Gbps.
Anytime I attempt to use the Intel my speed tests seem to be anywhere between 500-1.2Gbps for download and upload is 1.5-2.2Gbps.
If I use the Realtek ethernet card, I get 2.3 / 2.25Gbps.
Intel Software Intelligence center never works as it simply has a blanks screen that reads service is not running.
Manually turning the service on allows the service to run for a few seconds before reverting to off.
Unfortunately for me I only have 1 extra PCI express slot thanks to poor research about my ASrock Tiachi Carrara motherboard so I can't keep using the 2.5Gbps realtek exclusively.
Any thoughts on this? I saw another post recently about someone having the same issue.
Not sure if this will help but here's my DXdiag.txt
