Event-6 @ Bangalore

Hi Join-Usians,

 

How are you all doing? Sincere regret's for the delay happened in conducting 'EVENT-6' by Bangalore team (supposed to conduct in Mar'06). It's only a communication lag, as we all know and believe that we are not away from Join-us team activites.

 

We have been scouting for the right place to go with for this event and so far we have identified two places:

 

1) Little sisters home for the Poor.

2) Mobility India

Please find sometime to go through the second one -Mobility India, as the former place seems to be self sustained.

 

We spoke to the incharge person for charity at Mobility India, she narrated about the institute as a non-profit, non-govt institution funded by individuals and some corporates. Mobility India's key motive is to help disabled people by giving them the necessary instruments like calipers, walkers, etc. She was telling that many orthopadic doctors in the city know about Mobility India and they refer people who cann't afford such instruments. Mobility India has wide spectrum of activities as seen in the website.

 

Coming back to our part as Join-Us, we can donate our funds to Moobility India and when a needy person/case is identified our funds will be utilised to aid/cure the person. Case report of the identified person will be given as an evidence for funds being used for the right person.

 

Please air your opinions / consents on this, if we can go ahead with this we will finish this ASAP.

Hi All,

 

Hope everyone is doing good and enjoying the early rains.

 

Today we have handed over 'Join-Us' contributions towards Event-6 @ Bangalore to Mobility India, Bangalore.

 

We gave Rs.5000/- towards identifying a needy disabled person and to grant him/her an instrument that is required.

 

We have given only funds of Chennai team's Rs. 3000/- and Bangalore teams's Rs. 2000/- towards this event.

 

Letz club funds of Hyderabad with Event 7 @ Hyderabad.

 

Soon I will post you all the details about how funds being used by Mobility India.

Firstly, I congratulate Team-Blore for successfully driving the Event-6.

 

Well, we shall club Event-6 HYD Funds (Rs.5700/-) to the next upcoming Event. As per the plan we will be organising Event-7 in Hyderabad (tentative 3rd Week of June'06).

I request all... to share your ideas on who could be the target group?? this time. Try collect some information in this regard. Weekends we can plan a visit and finalise things at the earliest.
