Hello Team,

Here i bring forward a proposal to assist my maid who we have not employed currently during the COVID pandemic. We could help them with household grocery expenses to cover for a couple of months that provides a bit of a cushion to their strained financial situation. 

Kindly review and provide your comments. If no objections are received until a week, the case shall be deemed approved.

FAMILY DETAILS

Husband: Prabhu aged 38

Elder Sister: Kalaivani aged 29

In Laws: Chandran and Kanaka aged 60+

4 daughters.

RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

No fixed house. They are nomadic. Currently living in tents setup in an open site in HSR Layout Sector 7.

This open site is owned by an NRI. Since they take care of his property, he does not charge rent.

OCCUPATION DETAILS

Husband Prabhu does Mason work: - Works for weekly mason labor – no fixed income, freelance. If he has an active order, earns 5000 per week.

 

Elder Sister Kalaivani works as maid in 2 houses

 

Anjali herself works as maid in 2 houses including mine.

 

In-Laws do not work.

LIVING IN

Tent in open site, HSR Layout Sector 7, Bengaluru

CHILDREN EDUCATION

4 daughters – 3 are school going. Their fees is as follows

4th daughter in 6th std – 1000 per month

3rd daughter – 4th std - 900

2nd daughter – 3rd std – 800

All of them have an yearly admission fee of 5000/-

1st daughter – 5 years – not going to school.

MONTHLY EXPENSE

2nd daughter is attacked by Seizures and requires regular hospital visit.

Medical Expenses as per need for general health issues.

6000 house expenses incl. grocery and health.

REQUIREMENT

During COVID, both the sisters are NOT working since their owners are wary about having them work in their house (This includes myself) and hence no income. Husband has much lower masonry orders than normal. This situation has greatly affected their regular income and they are finding it hard to meet house expenses.


MY RECOMMENDATION :

Help them with Grocery to the extent of ~6000/- spread across 2 months. I made a list of items they find useful and approximated to the tune of 3000/- for a month.

Toor Dal - 2kg - 240

Sunflower Oil - 2L - 350

Salt - 2 packets - 40

Atta - 2kg - 100

Cooking masala - 200

Urad Dal - 1kg - 140

Idli Rice - 2kg - 80

Dry chilli - 500g - 150

Pepper 100gm - 80

Jeera 100gm - 30

Tamrind 0.25 kg - 50

Bath Soap 4 - 100

Clothes Soap 4 - 40

Toothpaste - 50

Toothbrush pack - 90

Shampoo packets - 250

Case Update: Delivered 50kg rice today to the family - find some pics attached.

Spent so far : 2400/- for rice.
Balance amount to be spent for grocery: 3600/-

Hello Team

The balance 3600 has also been spent on this case as planned to buy some daily needs for the family. 

Meanwhile the husband has joined back work after lockdown and they are able to manage on their own for now. I will still monitor the situation in coming months.

Attaching the receipt for the expenditure.
NOTE: It's not a tax invoice because this small store near their house refuses to use tax invoices:)
