We have a request for sponsoring education of a visually impaired student - hailing from bhadravathi, karnataka. Family is from a poor background - father is a marginal farmer.

I am trying to get more details about the family so as to make the final proposal for our case. I have gathered following details so far

Education Status	Completed 1st year B.A. Entering 2nd year B.A 3rd semester 1st year fees were sponsored by another volunteer who contributed to the Vinyasa trust pool.
Requirement	Joined College last year: Aug/2022 Total 22000 (This is the fee after concession. Actual Fees is 40000) This is only the admission fee. Per semester exam fee approx 1000 and Books cost approx 6000 including braille compatible books including audio recording of notes. These recordings are in mp3 format - played on laptop (provided by government for visually impaired) and phone (sponsored by another volunteer)
Plea Justification	The family is unable to bear the education expenses of this visually challenged student. Hence the student is admitted to the hostel of Vinyasa Trust, Bengaluru. For living expenses, the hostel is fully free- funded by the trust. This trust does fundraising for its students' education. They have approached our organization for the same.
Academic Performance	B.A 2nd semester - 87% aggregate Attached : Marks Card
College Details	THE NATIONAL COLLEGE, 7TH BLOCK JAYANAGAR, Bengaluru
Payment Procedure	College accepts only cash. Last date for fees payment: Jul 1st week

Dear Patrons,

I spoke to the student and i have some further details:

- Family income details: 

Vasantha's mother doesn't work. Father is a marginal farmer with 1 acre of land - rice and coconuts. He hardly makes profit to the extent he can run the family.

His elder sister recently joined a job in Bengaluru for a salary of around 25,000/-. Most of her salary is used up in taking care of her food and stay. She does send a part of her salary to her parents too.

- Future Plans:

Vasanth says he needs to do an M.A post grad to find a job. There is a 2 pc reservation under disabled quota but qualification and marks do matter.

- Payment procedure:

College accepts only cash and check.

In my opinion, considering the paltry income of the family, brilliant academic performance of the student and the disability of the student, we must provide a scholarship to the student. As is the case for all other students, the yearly sponsorship averages to 20,000. We could maintain the same average and sponsor for this student to the extent of 20,000. The last date for fees payment is a few weeks away. Comments and questions on the proposal are welcome.

Payment mode: College will be sending a payment link through which we shall be making the payment - So we are sure the money goes directly to the college
