All of you must have heard about Late Shri. Baba Amte’s “Anandwan” and the legacy followed by their next generations….I have been fortunate enough to be a part of this “Anandwan” world in 2013 and then get connected for a lifetime.

 

If you go through the attachment, it will give you 1^st level idea about the 8 day camp which they organize since 1967. My experience in 2013 is no different than thousands of campaigners since 1967. Being there for 8-9 days…..makes one understand the dignity of Labor, helps to connect with people beyond religion, cast, skin color, qualification, profession, IQ levels, financial statures (of people from varied income groups) and so on…..one experience a real unity in diversity, in a true sense it helps us to understand our social responsibility towards deprived ones in the same world & one starts keeping the mother nature above everything.

 

Its stressful physically being there in 48 degree and following a regime from 5am in the morning to 11pm in the night, within that operate like a labor for 4-5 hours on lake digging work but then it gives a wonderful experience of purification within and makes you feel the way Shri Baba Amte said when he was alive…..”Joy in Anandwan is more infectious than leprosy”.

 

I have planned to be there again in coming May’15, this time with my 12 Yr daughter (Saee) as I strongly believe that it will have a long impact on her thoughts & behavior for a lifetime as in this camp we get an opportunity to hear & interact with many social activists who have given their life for a social cause sacrificing glorious future and all comforts of life….It’s hard to believe but such people does exist is today’s world.      

 

Having said all these good things, I must mention that it’s tough being there in 48 degree for 8-9 days, stay in dormitory and live entirely different lifestyle than what we are used to.

 

I shared my thoughts with you all in the flow….. if this appeals to you and if you wish then you can attend this camp or refer the same with someone who you think (& wish) should attend.

3.   Group Limit: Maximum 5 members are allowed per registration form. Single entry is allowed.
