Brothers

Asalam-u-alaikum Wa Rehmat-U-Allah W.B

I was watching a YouTube video with label "Round Table with Dr. Israr Ahmed R.A "Political and Economic System of Islam". Dr. Israr Ahmed R.A had explained his point of view very impressively.

In addition, I have noted a very important point which could be very persuasive in providing a valid explanation to non-Muslim in any future inter-faith debate about the issue of "Second class citizen" in an Islamic Society.

"In a liberal secular state such as Europe, America, UK and Australia, there is a vast majority of people who are living as second class citizens such as people who have not yet get Nationality of the country in question. To become a first class citizen, a person has to meet few requirements of Citizenship Law in order to become first class Citizen such as:

1) living in that country for certain number of years and contributing to the tax system.
2) not to commit any criminal offence and be of good character
3) Take allegiance of Oath in favour of "The Queen" or "Constitution".

These second class citizens have certain limitations on their rights such as:

1) Can not participate or even vote in Elections.
2) Can not occupy Top level Government positions.
3) Can not get Passport of the country

However, they have other rights/privileges such as health, education, right to equal justice etc.

The issue "second class citizen in an Islamic Society" works in similar way and is even more favorable to people. Someone to become a first class citizen in Islamic Society, he/she just have to take Oath of Allegiance to "Allah" rather than to any individual or to any constitution. This person need not to prove that he is "Momin or True Believer" and he does not need to show proof of good character.

In similar way, if he/she wants to remain non-Muslim, he has all rights/privileges available as to First class citizen with few exception which Dr. Israr Ahmed explained very well in his lectures.

I hope this comparison will be helpful for the non-Muslims to understand and acknowledge this bitter truth.

Thank you
