Just to keep everyone in the loop, a few days ago I removed the event
voting functionality from the joind.in codebase, although the database
fields remain (I wasn't confident what these would break and/or if we
would want to re-use the same columns later). Basically the event
voting is little-used and has been historically buggy, and really
needed a revamp.
There is an entry in the project roadmap (http://wiki.github.com/
enygma/joind.in/project-roadmap) for this, please chime in if you want
the voting and/or have any opinions on either how this should work or
how it could be implemented.
