Makes sense to me for a couple of reasons:
1 the meaning of the label is then consistently clear.
2 labelling an issue 'hackathon' may discourage people from tackling them outside a hackathon, or may discourage people who might be ninjas from aiming for more difficult issues during a hackathon.
Thus,
Eli

However on closer inspection it doesn't seem possible to rename a tag :(So I'd love us to do this and if anyone has time to re-tag the issues tagged "hackathon" to be tagged "easypick" then that would be fabulous. Otherwise I'll get to it one day when I have nothing better to do (but that might be a long time in the future)Lorna

Currently the issue tracker uses the label 'hackathon' to indicate issues that should be fairly easy to pick up and fix for a new contributor.
Jordi has posted an article on his use of the 'easy pick' label [1] which fulfils the same intent as our hackathon label. The ZF community intends to implement this idea too. What do people think about us following suit and renaming the 'hackathon' label to 'easy pick'?
