Quick update to keep everyone in the loop ...
We made some changes to the backend of
http://m.joind.in this weekend, so if you have your own development setup of the web2 site then weird things will probably happen until you update. The change is that mongo is no longer used; we've replaced it with redis.
If you have your own setup, just install redis and copy the config over from config.php.dist into your own config.
If you are using the VM setup, there is a pull request open for the changes you need
https://github.com/joindin/joindin-vm/pull/22 so feel free to grab those, you'll need to halt and then up again (hopefully these will get merged in fairly soon). This doesn't uninstall mongo so you might like to do that as well.
As a heads up, this change also broke the majority of unit tests (5 out of 6!) we have on web2 due to the change in model layer so this is something that will need sorting out, volunteers welcome.
Any questions, comments or other thoughts? I'd love to hear them, either reply or find us in #
joind.in on IRC :)
