Yup, I said it before, as a salesperson, the first thing popped into my mind was that Peer is a great sales lead gen tool (actually Joiim is too). If this product generates new sales leads and potential customers, by providing faster, more real-time, communication available between prospects and sales people, which sales people wouldn't want that?  In fact, that should/could be the first vertical market to target, sales tools, tools to enhance your sales and generate more leads.

It's also a story easier to understand and easier to sell/describe to people and investors.

New tag lines/slogans to try?
"Professional Gtalk or instant messenger for your sales team"
"Professional instant messenger that will lead to instant sales leads" (this rhymes better)

It's a profile chat link/URL I would gladly give to people, just like I would give out my LinkedIn or aboutme profile links. LinkedIn and aboutme are also sales tools, but they are more one-dimensional/one sided in the sense that it only displays info with less real-time, no real-time chat/communication back n forth built in.

I think Johnson and Angelo have most of the feedback down.

The morning was slow.. A lot of "nice" / "false positives" reactions regarding the solution we presented. In the afternoon, we started to dig deeper for feedback, was better in terms of understanding how people actually use alternatives to solve this current problem - basically using skype, g chat, email. If we had to fix anything on the canvas, the earliest customer segments looks to be sales and marketing teams.. Seemingly strong qualitative validation from those with experience in those domains.

These are my pitches and people's responses:

-- is neg/no response.
^^ is positive response.

* we are a missing part of linkedin --
* we create a simple profile so people can contact you without connecting with u --
* we are like enterprise level gtalk, whatsapp and line ^^
* you can share the link to your blog and online profile ^^
* customers can talk to different sales and marketing person directly ^^
* share file and real-time edit of image with clients ^^

These are some feedback I got:

* I like people to reach out to me. so I want people who visited our site (office sharing site with NY and SF region sales) can reach out to me if they are in SF region. ^^
* digital marketing agency can buy for their employees to talk with their agent ^^
* about.me has contact me option. So he can see Peer as a tool to help people actually interact with each other. However, he is not sure how big is the market for this kind of product. --

  1. Many people (at least 3) mentioned that they would like to be able to embed our chat client in their own page. One person told me that this will help with user adoption, because users don't have to remember a new place to find this person, they can just find this person at his old page (his blog or company profile page).

  2. One lady mentioned that she wants single sign on. She gave a valid point. Doctors need an IM system like us to discuss medical conditions, but they can't just use facebook to authenticate. We need to provide single sign on authenticated against their hospital credential. She even went as far as asking us how much it costs to do a contract job for her.

  3. One person mentioned that Skype has CRM, and two people brought up concern that we can't replace Skype. We need to try to differentiate us from Skype.
That is all I remember for now....
