Joe,

Did you have any success finding the mast plug (and manufacturer).  Mine is pretty well rotted away (my mast actually can be twisted- like on those big catamarans- either way several degrees since only one screw is holding the plate to the plug.
I confess it's actually been this way for a couple years and i suspect that I I screw up and load the rig wrong (most likely on a capsize) I could tear the remaing scew and nut through the rotted plug. (I call it a plug but it appears to be an aluminum pieces the shape of the inside of the mast and riveted into the based of the mast.
