The PTSA Association is planning a Staff and Teacher Appreciation luncheon for John Jay. This event will be Friday, May 10th from 7:45 until 2:30.
We have a large staff to serve, over 250 people, and we need your help to make this luncheon a success. We want our teachers and staff to know that we, the parents, appreciate them.
In order to have a wonderful variety of dishes to serve, we are dividing the categories of food among the teams. We are asking parents to make the dish listed based on their last name and grade.
Parents of 9th Graders with last name A-F Dessert (Homemade, Please J)
Parents of 9th Graders with last name G-L Baked Ham or meat dish
Parents of 9th Graders with last name M-T Meatballs and/or Sausage
Parents of 9th Graders with last name U-Z Brunch Dishes (quiches, egg dishes, Doughnuts, etc)
Parents of 10th Graders with last name A-L Rice Dish, or hot pasta
Parents of 10th Graders with last name M-T Vegetable Platter and Dip
Parents of 10th Graders with last name U-Z Side Dish
Parents of 11th Graders with last name A-l Baked Ham, or Brunch Dish
Parents of 11th Graders with last name M-T Dessert (Homemade, Please J)
Parents of 11th Graders with last name U-Z Fruit Platter or Salad
Parents of 12th Graders with last name A-L Salads (Tossed, Tuna, Pasta, Etc.)
Parents of 12th Graders with last name M-T Pasta (Lasagna, Ziti, etc.)

If you wish to send a special dish that doesn’t fit the category, please feel free to do so. The teachers and staff love dishes that represent your heritage.
Please email me or call me by Friday, May 3rd with the information listed below. Many hands make the work light! This is my second year coordinating this event at John Jay . I have coordinated this event at Van Wyck for the last 7 years and the staff love this special day!

Please bring the food to the main lobby between 7:30-9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10th . A helper will be there to receive the dish from you. Please put your food in a disposable container. That will greatly help the clean-up volunteers.
