Hi everybody!

So last weekend we had my cousin Christmas party (it was the eighth day of Christmas). In talking with one of my favorite cousins I learned that he started playing d&d about six months ago. Most of his group is new and he asked if he could come check out a session. I said I'd have to check. This is me checking. Let me know how you feel about a guest observer. Thanks.

I don't have a problem with it, although I can't imagine it would be too much fun to just watch.  Is he playing 3.5 or 5e?  I don't know if you're familiar with Penny Arcade at all, but they have actually been doing recorded D&D sessions for a while and they're pretty entertaining.  Here's a link to one:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S39NeK3Ho10

If waiting a little isn't a problem, it might be more informative for him to sit in on one (or more) of Jen's early 5E session, rather than the tail end of a crazy high-level campaign (especially if he's playing 5E).  But I certainly have no objection if you feel like subjecting him to Andor's Anarchists.

I'm looking at how to wrap up the campaign as soon as possible; I'm certainly keen to play in Jen's game, but it's probably still at least a few weeks.

I think the consensus is clear; find a game that someone would actually *want* to emulate, and then ask if we can sit in on it as well :D

I'm not so sure watching noob DM would be the best example! One of my coworkers was curious about DnD but bulked when he saw the size of the handbook! I was 90% sure he wouldn't be interested to begin with.
