David Andrews - Son of John & Amy and brother to Samuel

My name is Tracy and I live in Norfolk, England. I have been tracing
my family tree and my great, great, great, great grandparents were
John & Amy Andrews. I am descended from his son David who was Samuels
brother.

I am interested in finding out about the ascendents of John and Amy
Andrews if anyone has any information. I am happy to share what I
have about David and his descendants if anyone is interested.

Mark, I was wondering how William Britain Andrews was related to
Samuel - is he a direct blood link or was he adopted?

Hi Tracy,

At this point, it appears as though John William (JW) and his sister,
Jessie, were adopted grandchildren while their biological parents
resided in England -- father died in 1905, mother in 1926. I have
discovered letters and postcards that were sent to JW from his parents
and siblings while he resided in Samuels' Detroit residence. I have
yet to discover the relationship between the Andrews and Britan
families. There is possibility that a "Mrs. Steele" accompanied the
young JW and Jessie on their trip to the United States to the Andrews
household. It remains quite a mystery. The gentlemen Manning and
Farren (members of this group) are descended from Samuels siblings. I
am hoping this group format provides for future clarification and
descendant connections.
